Fine Bindings

These books are bound to the highest specification. The designs, each of which reflect elements of Flemings original text, are crafted in vegetable-tanned goatskin with exotic touches such as diamonds, crystals and silver pieces of eight.

The bindings are by Shepherds, Sangorski and Sutcliffe.

The onlay designs are by Webb and Webb.

26 sets are lettered A to Z
30 sets are lettered according to the Russian alphabet.

Other specifications include: - hand-sewn head and tail bands, gilt-edged pages and endpapers of handmade light blue paper watermarked ILF. Each book is in a slipcase which is lined, leather-trimmed and has rounded entry with gold-blocking to rear.

The set comes in a black presentation box with a goat's head stamped in gold from from the Fleming family crest.

The price for a set (not available in single volumes) is £14,000.
